What it takes to JOIN THE TEAM :
- Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ experience in and knowledge of the Corporate Meeting & Events industry in South Florida. Ability to cultivate new clients and retain our existing ones; Respond to and fulfill Client RFP requests within a timely manner; Meet with assigned hotel partners to secure corporate group meetings & business event opportunities; Demonstrate strong knowledge of the local South Florida travel market (Destination Marketing) and possess an ability to sell a full-spectrum of DMC services; Professionally represent Advantage at client meetings and site visits and industry networking events; College degree (BS) in Hospitality Management (preferred) or Business, Sales & Marketing or equivalent professional Sales experience
- This position reports to our Vice President of Sales; and we have an In-house Creative Design / Production Team & Operations Team to support Sales from start to finish
- Candidate must be extremely organized, a self-starter, able to listen & understand client needs and respond to RFPs, emails & client requests in a timely manner; also must track and submit sales & commission reporting as needed to stay current with accounting procedures
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 / Office software: PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams
- CMP or DMC certification a plus, but not mandatory
- Bilingual (English with Spanish or Portuguese) a plus, but not mandatory
Compensation Package includes: BASE SALARY + PLUS COMMISSION with no cap on earning potential; Health & Dental Insurance; 401(k) package; paid holidays & vacation; as well as additional compensation opportunities & bonuses
